FIFA Ban On Siasia: CAS Shifts October 10 Deadline Date
Former Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia was given a sigh of relief following Court of Arbitration, CAS, shifting of today's (October 10) deadline date given to him to appeal the FIFA ban imposed on him for bribery allegation, BSNSports understands.
CAS had written to Samson Siasia to write an appeal to the organization to enable it hear his own side of the story. After being briefed by his lawyer, Samson Siasia told Sportinglife in Abuja about the shift in date.
“The date I was told by my lawyers has been lifted by CAS after they made representations. My Lawyers will come back with a new date.
But I must as a matter of urgency raise the funds for the appeal”, he disclosed.
Under consideration is his application for Stay or suspension of FIFA’s Decision pending the Appeal Hearing itself.
As a player Samson Siasia won the African Cup Of Nations with Nigeria in 1994 and played at the World Cup same year.
He led his country’s U20 & U23s to African success in 2005 & 2015 respectively.
