FIFA Cancel U17, U20 Women World Cup

By Sampson Adedeji The U17 and U20 Women's World Cups, initially scheduled for 2020, have been canceled by World soccer governing body (FIFA), BSNSports.com.ng reports Initially scheduled for 2020, the Women's U17 and U20 World Cups had been postponed to early 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. But the situation is still critical, FIFA decided on Tuesday to cancel these two editions. In addition, the organization rights for the next editions will be offered to the same host countries for 2022. The body therefore ruled that Costa Rica would host the U20 Women's World Cup in 2022 and that India would organize that of the U17 in 2022. . The cancellation means that both Nigeria women U17 Flamingoes and women U20 Falconets will not be opportune to play at the FIFA world cup untill 2022.
