FIFA Council Confirms Brazil As Host Of 2019 U-17 FIFA World Cup By Sampson Adedeji After stripping of Peru the hosting rights of the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup over inadequate preparations, FIFA has confirmed Brazil as the new host of the competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Peru who hosted the tournament in 2003 failed to meet the required standard set by FIFA and was denied the host right last week. World soccer governing body announced Brazil as the new host on Friday in the United State. Nigeria will have the opportunity to return to the competition after missing out in the last edition that was held in India. But to return, the country's team must pick one of the four tickets allocated to Africa when they compete for U17 African Cup of Nations in Tanzania in April 2019.
