FIFA Council Election: Amaju Pinnick, Others Await FIFA's Eligibility Test Results

Nigeria’s Amaju Pinnick who has dropped out of CAF Presidency race as well as Executive Membership of the body in the election that will be held in Rabat, Morocco on 12 March will have to wait till month end for his candidature for FIFA Council to be approved.
This is the outcome of CAF Governance Committee which released the names of candidates for numerous positions for election in March.
He is not alone. The CAF report states that the eligibility check is underway at the level of FIFA bodies and the result will be communicated in due course.
Others include the acting president of CAF, Constant Sélémani Omari of Congo, Almamy Kabélé Camara of Guinea both seeking to return to their positions in FIFA as representatives of the CAF Francophone Group.
Pinnick is seeking for one of the two positions for the Anglophone group.
