FIFA Council Election: Minister of Youth and Sports Declares Nigeria Support For Pinnick

Ahead of the FIFA Council election, Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has declared Nigeria support for the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Melvin Pinnick, who is eyeing FIFA Council seat, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Nigeria football supremo few months back decided to run for the post of FIFA Council after he dumped the ambition for CAF presidency.
Sunday Dare through his social media handle on Wednesday declared that Nigeria will show enormous support for Pinnick in his quest to become FIFA Council member.

"A seat at the FIFA Council for Nigeria will be much welcomed. We support Nigeria’s sole candidate, Amaju Pinnick in the full hope that he will use this position to advance the development of football in Nigeria and the prospects of our young footballers wherever found.
"And apart from Nigeria, this position on the FIFA Council must be used to advance the development of football across the African continent where football has become like a religion." He tweeted
The election is scheduled for 12th March 2021.
