Chris Green Canvasses Support For Pinnick By Sampson Adedeji Ahead of the FIFA council election, former board member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Barr Christopher Green have started canvassing support for the President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Melvin Pinnick, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Pinnick was among the candidates that were cleared yesterday by the world soccer governing body to participate in the upcoming elections. Green, emphasised that if he wins, Amaju will be the second Nigerian to be on the seat and Nigeria Football will benefit immensely from it. "He has a bright chance more than any other person, Nigeria is big football country so other Africa country must respect us. It's a Nigeria project as far as I am concerned because he is not going there as Amaju Pinnick but he's going there as representative of Nigeria and we should give him all the support. On his approval by FIFA, Christopher Green said "It's a welcome development and a step forward to the elections, now he can concentrate on carrying out his campaigns and make sure that he gets voted come March when the election will hold." Green told Nigeria Info, Abuja. "It's also elementary relief for Nigeria as well, so, we give him all the support that he needs in making sure that he attains the position and of course he's going to be the second Nigeria that attain the position. Speaking on what Nigeria tends to gain, he added, "I think Nigeria will gain very much if you ask me because whatever FIFA is doing now they will continue to do but that we have representation in the Council. That is very good because he will become the part of decision making body and stand to benefit not only Nigeria but Africa in FIFA," he stated.
