FIFA Hammer: South Africa May Replace Zimbabwe At AFCON 2021 Sampson Adedeji Despite crashing out during the qualifiers, Bafana Bafana of South Africa are set to participate in the 33rd edition of the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, BSNsports.com.ng can report. The former champions were best placed behind Zimbabwe during the qualifiers and they are in the best position to replace Zimbabwe presently. Zimbabwe is facing disqualification from the competition presently following the dissolution of their Football federation which is against the rule of FIFA. The world soccer governing on Tuesday instructed SRC to return the body of ZIFA that was illegaly dissolved. As at Wednesday after Sports & Recreation Commission (SRC) in Zimbabwe headed by Kistry Conventry insisted that they are ready to face the disqualification. Bafana Bafana crashed out at the quarter-final of the 2019 edition of the competition losing 2-1 to the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
