FIFA: Member Associations To Take Part In Webnar On New Anti-Doping Regulations

As part of FIFA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening anti-doping measures in football, member associations from around the world will meet in a series of virtual workshops to receive an update on the new measures which will come into force within the FIFA Anti-Doping Regulations 2021.

Developed in close collaboration with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the new FIFA Anti-Doping Regulations 2021 will include the latestp updates and practical anti-doping measures being introduced in football next year.

FIFA will host the virtual webinar to provide member associations with information regarding the most important new or amended definitions within the new FIFA Anti-Doping Regulations, additions to the anti-doping rule violation catalogue, as well as practical guidance on the process for MAs implement the new FIFA regulations within their own competitions and legislative framework next year.

Since its inception in 2003, the World Anti-Doping Code has been substantially revised in 2009 and 2015.

Now, with the latest revision in 2021, this has resulted in the need to adapt the new FIFA Anti-Doping Regulations to the updated framework and to include within it the amendments made to the new WADA Code.
