Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, had revealed before that Egypt are planning on hosting the 2030 World Cup and the 2032 Olympic Games. Moreover, reports have emerged earlier this year saying Egypt are keen to submit a joint bid with Morocco to host the 2030 World Cup after the North Africans confirmed their intentions to enter a bid for the competition. Morocco wanted a cooperation deal to submit a joint bid with Portugal and Spain; however, the Europeans dumped out the African country from their officially submitted bid. Asked about the possibility of it happening, Infantino told MBC: “It is possible to hold the World Cup in an Arab country, such as Saudi Arabia and Egypt after they succeeded in organizing the AFCON, and Morocco, who submitted a file to host the global event. “We just have to determine whether the tournament will be held every two years or every four years. “Qatar succeeded in organizing the Arab Cup, and we saw that through the eight stadiums that were set up in an area not exceeding 60 kilometers, which will allow the fans to watch four matches in one day. “I received many calls during the Arab Cup demanding that the competition be organized more often, and I support this. Arab countries are eligible to host the World Cup. The Arab public deserves the best. Egypt “I think that the Arab Cup imposed itself after millions watched it, especially in the knockout rounds.
