FIFA President meets President of Madagascar Andry Rajoelina

The President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino met with the President of the Republic of Madagascar Andry Rajoelina at the Iavoloha Presidential Palace in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
Accompanied by a delegation including FIFA Secretary General and General Delegate for Africa Fatma Samoura, CAF President Ahmad, FMF President Raul Arizaka Rabekoto, FIFA Legend and special advisor to CAF President Samuel Eto’o and FIFA Foundation CEO and also a FIFA Legend, Youri Djorkaeff, held discussions focused on the development of football and the strong youth talent Madagascar possesses.
Speaking at the meeting Infantino said: “Madagascar possesses such amazing football talent. The journey of the Bareas to their first AFCON this year was wonderful and I hope that by continuing to support our friends at the FMF and with the encouragement of the Malagasy government I am sure we will be seeing more positive results in the near future.”
The President of Madagascar said: “We are truly honoured by your visit today. We are very proud of how well our national team has progressed and your presence here reinforces our drive to see football thrive in Madagascar. Our wealth is our youth. We have a very young population and the investment in sports and particularly in football for us certainly one of our priorities.”
Following their meeting with President Rajoelina the delegation visited the FMF offices where they met with FMF President Rabekoto and members of the Executive Committee and took part in a press conference.
