FIFA Ranking: Nigeria ends the year in 31st position, 3rd in Africa

The World soccer governing body FIFA has wrapped up the ranking for the year 2019 with Nigeria's Super Eagles finishing the year in 31st position.

The beating of Benin and Lesotho in the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier had little impact in the ranking released, BSN reports

The latest ranking ranking placed Teranga Lion of Senegal has the best Africa team and was ranked 20th in the World.

Carthage Eagles of Tunisia was placed in 27th in the World and second in Africa while Suoer Eagles of Nigeria was ranked 31st in the World and 3rd in the continent of Africa.

Algeria and Morocco completed Africa Top 5 respectively with Ghana, Came from and Egypt somewhere in the top 10.

Nigeria will have the opportunity to improve in its position when the ranking resume in Is Gary 2020.
