FIFA Ranking: Nigeria Move Up Four Places

Back to back win recorded in the just concluded 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifier against Squirrels of Benin Republic and Lesotho has yielded dividends for Nigeria's Super Eagles, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The three-time African champions defeated Benin 0-1 and Lesotho 3-0 in the final round of the qualifier.
The outcome of both games reflected in the latest FIFA Ranking released on Thursday as Nigeria moved up to 32nd position from its previous 36th in the world.
Apart from moving up 4 places in the World Nigeria also overtake the currently Africa champion Algeria in the ranking with 1487.16 points as against Algeria's 1486.69 points.
Senegal remained Africa number one but dropped 2 places in the ranking to 22nd position, while Tunisia is in 2nd position with 1512.88 points.
Next round of games for Nigeria's Super Eagles and rest of Africa country will be 2022 World Cup qualifiers slated to begin in June 2021.
