By Harry Awurumibe, Abuja After nearly two weeks of close camping with 25 players at a high performance center in Austria, the Head Coach of Nigeria U- 20 Women’s football team, Falconets, Christopher Danjuma Musa has declared that his girls are ready to take on the rest of the world in France this weekend. Speaking exclusively to PromptNews from Austria the experienced women’s football coach disclosed that he and his three assistant coaches have selected the mandatory 21 players from the group and have since submitted the list as required by the world football governing body, FIFA. ” I believe that I and my assistants have done the needful and I have no doubt in my mind that the players we have selected will do our country Nigeria proud in France”, he said. Danjuma also revealed that the team is complete as every department has been taken care of, adding that from goalkeeping, defence, midfield and attack, the team has the quality to make a good impression in France. He stated that the team within the short time it stayed in Austria played two friendly matches and recording two victories. Falconets walloped FC Innsbruck 4-0 last Saturday while it also thrashed Bergheim FC 3-0 in the earlier match played two days after the team’s arrival in Austria. Meanwhile, Falconets will touch down in Nancy, France on Thursday, August 2, ahead of Nigeria’s first match against Germany on August 6 at Stade de Marville in Saint Malo.
