Sampson Adedeji
Despite winning away from home, the head coach of Nigeria U17 female team Flamingoes, Bankole Olowookere has said they will not be complacent going to the second leg, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The Nigeria side on Sunday in Kinshasha pummeled hosts, DR Congo, by 0-3 and have one foot in the next round of the World cup qualifiers.
Olowookere said they took their time to study their opponents in the first half before coming out will force in the second half.
He further said there are still some areas they needed to work on going into the second leg of the qualifier.
" We have a game plan to win the game and it worked out for us.
"For us is a developmental program, we came here, we saw the size of their team, we study and see the way they played and we were able to come out in the second half.
"To win with 3 goals and 3 points is not easy but there is no room for complacency.
"I will still go back home because winning doesn't mean everything is okay, there are still some areas we need to work on, hopefully, we will seal the game in Nigeria," he said.
Nigeria will host the reverse fixture at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
