FIFA U17 World Cup: Garba not satisfy with players performance

By Sampson Adedeji

After spending almost a month in camp in readiness for the FIFA U17 World Cup, Nigeria's Golden Eaglets coach Manu Garba has confirmed that the performance of the players in camp are not up to the task.

BSN reports that the 5-time champions is among the 4 African countries that will represent Africa at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil.

The team came 4th at the 2019 U17 African Cup of Nations in Tanzania after finishing behind winner Cameroon, Guinea and Angola.

There are over 50 players in the Abuja camp presently and Garba has stated that is extremely difficult to narrow the list to 50 players because there is not outstanding player among them.

Garba will have to submit the provisional list of 50 players by September 21st, just 10 days to the Nigeria first match in the competition.

After winning the World cup back to back in 2013 and 2015, the Golden Eaglets failed to qualify for the 2015 edition held in India.
