FIFA U17 World Cup: Minister heaps praises on Golden Eaglets

After rallying from a 2-1 down to a 4-2 victory over Hungary, Nigeria's Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare has heaped praises on Golden Eaglets for a remarkable job done in their first group B match at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Brace from captain Tijani Samson, Ibrahim Said and Timileyin Adeniyi gave Nigeria lads a comprehensive 4-2 on Saturday in Giaonia, Brazil.

The Minister hailed the players and urged them to do more and ensure they bring honour to the country.

"I was on my feet almost throughout the game. I watched these boys train in Abuja and I knew they were a bunch of good players. We move on with lessons learnt.

"I am confident they will get better and stronger. We just saw the Nigerian football spirit back on ! , he wrote

The Minister hope the Golden Eaglets will continue their good run on Tuesday when they face Ecuador.
