FIFA U17 World Cup: Remain Focus, Nwakali Urges Golden Eaglets Ahead Hungary Match -Latest sports in Nigeria

Just as Nigeria's Golden Eaglets are gearing up to face Hungary in opening group B games of the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil, former team captain Kelechi Nwakali has urged the team to remain focus on the task ahead, BSNSports.com.ng understand.

BSN reports that Nwakali was the captain of Nigeria's Golden Eaglets in 2015 when his excellent performance won him the FIFA U17 Golden ball award, in the squad was Lille striker Victor Osimhen as striker and Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.

Nwakali speaking with www.bsnsports.com.ng in Abuja advised the Nigeria's U17 team presently in Brazil not to lose focus on the task ahead and also play as a team .

" Firstly, I wish them good luck in the competition, they need to put their mind together to work as a team, though I know it will be difficult because they are young and everybody we want to show their talents, so they can move on after the competition.

The former Arsenal player encouraged them to determine during the competition and get to the final so as to help their career.

"But I want them to know that if they don't get to the quarter final, semi final or final it will difficult to get clubs but if they put their mind together as a team to achieve their objective that is to get into latter part of the competition, they will get clubs," he concluded.

After playing Hungary in their first match on Saturday, Golden Eaglets will face Ecuador and Australia later in the competition.
