FIFA U17 WWC : CAF Confirms Receipt Of Rwanda Withdrawal Sampson Adedeji African soccer governing body (CAF) has confirmed the withdrawal of the Rwanda Women U17 team from the World Cup qualifier against DR Congo, BSNsports.com.ng can report. Rwanda was scheduled to play DR Congo in January 2022 but the soccer governing body in Rwanda chose to pull out from the competition. "CAF has received correspondence from Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) indicating their withdrawal from the African Qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, India 2022™. Rwanda was scheduled to face DR Congo in the first qualifying round later this month (January 2022). The doubleheader is therefore cancelled, and DR Congo is automatically qualified for the next round," the CAF statement reads.
