Flying Eagles of Nigeria are out of the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland following their 1-2 loss at the round of 16 against African rivals, Senegal, BANSports.com.ng can report.

Senegalese attackers, Sagna and Niane scored in the 36th and 45th minutes to give their country a 2-0 lead in a well contested crucial game in Lodz.

Five minutes into the second half, Success Makanjuola reduced the Junior Teranga Lions' lead when he pulled one goal into the opponent's net.

Though, not a good outing for the Paul Aigbogun led Flying Eagles as they have been struggling from the beginning of the competition, though, their second round match against Senegal was dominated by the two times world cup finalist.

The loss means Nigeria U20 team will leave for their country to prepare for next FIFA U20 championship.

The best Nigeria outing were in Saudi '89 and 2005 when Flying Eagles lost in the final to Portugal and Argentina repectively come second best in the world.
