What You Need To Know About Flying Eagles Forward, Chinonso Emeka

His inclusion in the final 21 man squad of Nigeria for the U20 World Youth Championship came as a surprise to many considering the fact that he was unknown prior to the naming of the squad by coach Paul Aigbogun.
Chinonso Emeka is one name that many have been asking about since the list of players for the tournament was released by Aigbogun, in our usual style we have made efforts to check through the profiles of the forward who plays for Brooke House Football Academy in England and decided to bring it to the notice of football loving Nigerians.
Aigbogun was on the lookout for options in attack following the non-appearance of Chinedu Ekene of Hoffenheim at their training camp in Germany and Emeka was one of the players called up as back up.
He impressed the coaches with his ball holding abilities particularly with his back to goal and the fact that he is among the tallest players in the team also helped his case.
Still only 18 years old, he showed his abilities to shoot accurately even in tight situation and all things being equal he will be a part of the next U20 team as he will still be eligible.
The role he might play at the tournament might not be more than an impact substitute but he has shown enough in training to win a spot in the team for the tournament, hence many won’t be surprised if he ends up as a regular at the tournament proper.
