Fikayo Tomori still eligible to play for Nigeria

Chelsea's Fikayo Tomori is still eligible to play for Nigeria after he is yet to be used by Gareth Southgate in featuring for England, Bsnsports.com.ng reports

Tomori had remained sidelined in the two games that England has played in the European Championship qualifier. He was an unused substitute sidelined when England played Czech republic and also Bulgaria.

With this happening, there might be a slight hope that Calgary-born native could still play for Nigeria, even as the Nigeria national team administration hopes to lure him to their side. Tomori would have become cap-tied to England for life had Gareth Southgate elected to summon him from the substitute bench.

The young starlet has shown signs of his versatility, after breaking into Chelsea's first eleven, which led to even contention of his allegiance at the international level.

Tomori is well behind the likes of Tyrone Mings, Harry Maguire and Michael Keane in Southgate's pecking order of central defenders for the Three Lions.

England returns to action in their qualifying fixture, in November 14th, while Nigeria a day earlier, will tackle Benin for the AFCON Nations Cup qualifier, looking forward to see if Tomori would have changed his mind by then.
