FIVB Cancel African Women Volleyball Championship Sampson Adedeji According to the report coming from Kigali, Rwanda, the ongoing 2021 African Women Volleyball championship has been called off, BSNsports.com.ng can report. The competition started on a sound note after the completion of the men's game but things suddenly turned sour after the host country Rwanda was disqualified for fielding ineligible player. Due to the crises, Rwanda Volleyball Federation threatens to deport referees and Officials who are officiating at the ongoing women's 2021 African Seniors Nations Championship in Kigali. FIVB came out with a verdict suspending Rwanda women's senior volleyball team at the ongoing 2021 African Seniors Nations Championship in Kigali, Rwanda. FIVB also insists that the Rwandan team cannot feature in the championship and all the matches won in Rwanda should be forfeited. The reason for the tournament cancellation is yet to be revealed as the time of this report.
