Flying Eagles Star Out For Six Months
By Sampson Adedeji
Injured Nigeria's Flying Eagles and Watford FC midfielder, Tom Dele-Bashiru has been ruled out of action for six months, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The 21-year-old, signed from Manchester City in July 2019, had impressed during the pre-season and was one of the stand-out performers on the Madejski Stadium pitch before his injury.
The skilful midfielder was disappointed with the injury but hope to bounce back strongly and help the team.
"It’s really frustrating because the last few weeks have been great and I have really felt part of the team,” he continued.
“Training has been really enjoyable, so I am going to miss being out on the pitch with the rest of the boys.
I’ve had lots of messages from the lads wishing me well, telling me to keep my head up and that I’ll be back stronger, which has been great," he told the club website.
Dele-Bashiru is expected to undergo surgery this week in order to begin his rehabilitation quickly.
