Ahead of the England project restart, Watford on Saturday played a friendly match against a championship side Brentford at Viacarage Road.

The Hornet who ended the unbeaten run of the league leaders Liverpool before the suspension of the league has been struggling since the commencement of the season.

In preparation ahead of the premier league resumption next week the Hornets recorded a 2-0 win over the visitors.

Nigeria's Flying Eagles midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru was introduced in the 73rd minute for Christian Kabasele.

Bashiru has made the bench for the Hornet several times this season in the Premier league but has taken to the field thrice in the cup games.
