Football Stakeholders Commend ICPC Over Asset Recovery

The football stakeholders in Nigeria have commended the efforts of Anti-Corruption Agencies in the country on the total assets they have recovered from corrupt persons in recent times.
Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders on Sunday, president National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers, NANPF, Mr Harrison Jalla made the commendation in Abuja recently.
Jalla praises the efforts of all Nigerian anti-graft agencies particularly ICPC under the leadership of the Chairman of the Commission, Prof Bolaji Owasanoye.
Few weeks ago, the Commission started investigation of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, top officials and has since then sealed about 15 properties after investigation revealed that the properties are above their income.
Recently, the commission trained 38 operatives of the agency on a 3-day training workshop on Asset Training and Investigation. The are trained to be a step ahead of the criminal element in the country.
Jalla poured encomium on the Commission chairman for walking his talk adding that it is difficult to get such dedicated and determined Nigerian whose hard work promotes the anti-corruption campaign of President Buhari led regime. On September at the United Nations Convention Against Corruption ( UNCA) Chairman, ICPC stated that Nigeria is committed to winning the war against corruption.

Jalla gave the assurance of the support and collaboration of the football loving Nigerians, and urged the Chairman to continue his fight against corruption, he also encouraged him to empower the Commission operatives for effective delivery.
