Former Chelsea Assistant Coach Offered Super Eagles Job Sampson Adedeji Former Chelsea assistant coach Jose Morais has been offered the Nigeria's Super Eagles job, BSNports.com.ng can report. The former handler of the team Gernot Rohr was sacked after the dismal performance of the team in the just concluded group qualifier of the Qatar 2022 World cup. According to Portuguese tabloid, O Jogo, the Nigerian Football Federation ( NFF) has offered a deal to Morais to take charge African Cup of Nations campaign. NFA president Amaju Pinnick said, "We spoke with José Peseiro, José Morais and Mladen Krstajic, who has since signed for Maccabi Tel Aviv." Morais worked at Chelsea, while he was also assistant to Jose Mourinho with Real Madrid. This year, he led Al Hilal to the Saudi Arabian championship. Fellow Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro is also on the NFA's radar. Peseiro is available after resigning as Venezuela coach.
