FORMER FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP WINNER GIVES BACK TO OSUN UNITED

Few days after presenting a set of jersey for Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup Winner, Ganiyu Oseni has also donated another set of jersey to Osun United, the team that served as a springboard for his successful football career.
Oseni, who was sighted by late Yemi Tela in 2007 while playing for Prime FC of Osogbo, now Osun United was a revelation at the teenage tournament in South Korea.
Represented by his brother, Kazeem Oseni, the in-form Hà Nội FC of Vietnam goal poacher said he would continue to be grateful to Osun United for being the springboard to his success.
"I don’t have any choice than to appreciate where I came from and I always remember Prime fc which now Osun United. This is just a tip of the iceberg as I have it in my mind to do more", said Oseni.
Speaking, President of Osun United, Chief Ademola Adesina thanked Oseni for remembering his former team and called on others to emulate this good gesture.
Ganiyu Oseni, who hails from Iwo, Osun State represented Nigeria in the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup in the Korea Republic, played 6 games and scored one goal for the world champions. He was called up for the Nigeria U-23 All Africa Games qualifier in April 2011 and scored a brace in the 6-1 win over Liberia .
The former Esperance of Tunisia and CSKA Moscow striker currently plays for Hà Nội FC in the Vietnam Super League
