Former NBA Star, Hakeem Olajuwon visits Nigeria Beach Volleyball team in Morocco

Atlanta 1996 Olympics Gold medallist, Hakeem Olajuwon paid a surprise visit to Nigeria Beach Volleyball team participating at the Tokyo Olympics Qualifiers in Morocco.
According to Francis Imoudu, the head coach of Nigeria Beach Volleyball team, the two times NBA Star charged the players to put in all efforts in order to qualify for the Olympics and make the country proud.
Imoudu revealed that the two times NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) explained the essence of qualifying for the Olympics which will inturn boost the profile of the players.
Imoudu said, "The visit of one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Hakeem Olajuwon came as a big surprise to the team. The visit will boost the mentality of the players because Hakeem Olajuwon is an Olympic Gold medallist and the players are preparing to qualify for the Olympics too.
"Olajuwon said a lot and I know for sure that the players fighting for the sole ticket in the women's category will put this in their heart when they play in the final on Saturday".
The Chairman Caretaker Committee of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod hailed Hakeem Olajuwon for his role in motivating the beach volleyball team.
Nimrod said, "The visit by former NBA super star is a big deal to the volleyball family. I know the players must have learnt one or two things from the basketball legend and I hope it translate to a winning on the court on the final".
