FOSLA Academy registers football club for FCT league

Ahead of the 2018/19 FCT football league, the management of FOSLA ACADEMY, the first premier independent football academy in Nigeria, yesterday unveiled a new club football to participate in the league.
The new club, FOSLA FOOTBALL CLUB, FFC, was unveiled in Abuja after it was duly registered with the Federal Capital Territory, Football Association, FCTFA.
The unveiling which was witnessed by former Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, President, Sani Lulu in attendance, was also attended by football dignitaries and stakeholders.
Conducting the unveiling, the FOSLA FOOTBALL CLUB Chairman, Patrick Ngwaogu described the registration of the new club as a dream come true and a manifestation of the commitment and dedication of the board and management of FOSLA Academy to take the academy to a greater height.
Mr Ngwaogu who is also the FCTFA First Vice Chairman advised the players to make good use of the enormous opportunity provided for them by the academy to excel.
"This marks a new chapter in FOSLA Family. We are unveiling our new team, FOSLA FOOTBALL CLUB, FFC. This event is a dream come true because it has been there. The team have been duly registered so the ball is the court for the players to shoot.
"This, indeed, is a golden opportunity for our players in several ways and I believe they will make the best use of it. This is a step towards actualising the dreams behind FOSLA Academy and we are glad we have come thus far.
"The players have shown tremendous commitment for this project and we cannot do less in supporting you. We are taking off from the FCT League and from there we see how far we can go with your commitment and discipline," he said.
Captain of the club, Andrew Oyenke Junior, described the establishment of the new club as a welcome development and thanked the management for the feat. The 2oo level Mass Communication undergraduate of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, said that combining football and studying would not be strenuous on the players who have combined both since the establishment of Fosla Acadmey in 2011.
Also speaking, the FFC’s deputy captain, Abdulganiyu Abdulazeez, who was highly elated over the development, said that the players were ready to do the school and management proud to sustain the trust they reposed in them. He advised his fellow players to show greater commitment as they aspire to take the club to a greater height.
Highlights of the unveiling were display of the club’s jersey as well as certificate of registration all of which were handed over to the club’s team manage, Ibrahim Lawal.
Fosla Football Club started camping on Saturday, September 22, 2018 with their new technical adviser, Coach Ambimbola Samuel.
