Fosla FC Players upbeat in lifting FCT League   By Amaechi Agbo   Fosla Football Club player have expressed their determination to lift the 2018 FCT League in their first asking, BSN Sports reports. The Karshi-based club which made its debut in the FCT League this season topped Group A of the first stanza of the league which was concluded on Tuesday. Speaking to our correspondent, some of the players interviewed after they won their last group match by 3-1 against Optimum FC, said that playing in the league for the first time has given then enough moral and composure and the determination to go all the way and claim the trophy. They however believed that the task ahead would be tough as all eyes would be on them and their opponents would prepare very well to beat them stressing that they would not leave any stone unturned in working hard to actualize their dream   According to the goalkeeper, Abdulganiyu Abdulasis, a second year Entrepreneurship student in Nassarawa State University, Keffi, “We are new comers but we have been able to manage the bigger boys. That is what has been helping us so far. “We are going into the second stanza of the league to conquer. Like now, everybody has seen us play and all eyes will be on us. They will like to beat us but we will not relent. There will be more hard work going forward and victory will be ours in the end. We are not just going there for the tournament but we are going there to lift the trophy,” the goalkeeper who have had two clean sheets in three matches said.   on his part, a supporting striker, Ejeh Joseph who will being going to the same university to study Sociology when the next academic session resumes, “The next stanza of the league is going to be tough because a lot of eyes are on us now but we are optimistic. We will prepare very hard to conquer by God’s grace.”   Also speaking, captain of the side, Andrew Oyenke, “It is God all the way who have been faithful to us. He has been our main motivator. Then we have our proprietor, the coaches, they have been very supportive to us and we appreciate them. We are preparing so hard for the second phase. I believe by the grace of God we will overcome our opponents because we have just one target which is to lift the trophy and qualify for the Division 3 playoff next year,” he said. Fosla Football Club topped Group A of the first phase of the FCT League with 12 points from four matches. They defeated Beautiful Tours by 6-1 in their debut match, beat Destiny FC 3-0, defeated Flomat FC by alone goal and were victorious against their opponents, Optimum FC in their last group match on Tuesday by 3-1 score line.
