Super Eagles number one goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has reportedly agreed to join relegated Spanish club Elche on loan from Deportivo de La Coruña, BSN Sports reports.
According to the report by Guardian, the 19-year-old goalkeeper agreed to move to Elche after finding it hard to command the number one shirt last season.
Deportivo are according to the report to have agreed a deal with Elche over the move of Uzoho, but they will now have to wait for an approval from the La Liga board.
With that done, Elche will immediately register Uzoho and he will automatically become their first choice goalkeeper with two youth team shot stoppers set to deputize for him.
Francis Uzoho was the Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and he played against Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group.
Previously, there have been reports on how Super Eagles goalie Francis Uzoho made it clear that he was not scared to face Barcelona star Lionel Messi at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Group D final game.
But the 19-year-old conceded against Lionel Messi as Argentina defeated Nigeria 2-1 to qualify for the round of 16 at the concluded Russia 2018 which was won by France.
