Franklin Sasere Sets Major Target On Winning League Title In Malta

Hamrun Spartans of Malta youngster, Franklin Sasere has declared emphatically that he aims to make the best of his current loan spell from FC Lugano of Switzerland by helping his new club become champions of the Maltese Premier League title, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Though a strong hint has emerged that he could be on his way back to Lugano this month, Sasere insisted that he remains focused on helping Spartans clinch the title, even as he is also on the verge of ending as the top-flight’s highest goals scorer. Although he stands the chance of getting personal glory at the end of the season, Sasere stressed that the bigger focus for him is about the collective goal of Hamrun winning the title and the youngster attributed his form in front of goal to collective efforts from his coaches and teammates. Following his loan move from Swiss side Lugano, the 22-year-old Nigerian has enjoyed an awe-inspiring debut at Victor Tedesco Stadium, scoring eight goals in 13 outings for the league leaders.
