Fred Friday leaves AZ Alkmaar for FC Twente

FC Twente have confirmed the arrival of AZ Alkmaar striker Fred Friday on loan until the end of the season, BSNSports reports.

The striker has not made a single appearance for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie this season and was not needed at the club.

Friday has joined Twente until the end of the season on loan and will look to aide their
promotion push.

The Nigerian prodigy disclosed on Twente website, “I’m happy to be here. Of course I know the club and the stadium and scored here for Sparta last season. It was a great atmosphere that
afternoon and that impressed.

In the coming months, I want to help the team and I hope to eventually promote with the team. I have already spoken to the trainer and other people at the club and I will get more impressions in the coming days. I am looking forward to playing here in the stadium. “

Friday joined AZ back in 2016 but spent last season on loan with Sparta Rotterdam. The 23- year-old has made 41 appearances in the Eredivisie in the past two years, scoring 11 times.
