Ahead of the French Lique One match against RC Lens slated for Sunday, head coach of FC Nantes Raymond Domenech has give update on Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Moses Simon, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigeria international has been on the sideline for quite sometime due to injury he sustained while on club duty.
Nantes played out a 1-1 draw against Monteplier in the last time out without Simon who has been a key man for the team since joined them from Spanish La Liga club UD Levante.
Domenech during a press conference organised ahead of the match said Nigeria forward trained on Friday with the team but the Sunday game will be too soon for him.
" Regarding Moses Simon, he raced more or less normally this Friday. Not yet with side support but on straight races, that's fine.
He doesn't hurt anymore. He will attack again with the preparer at the start of the week but even for Metz, I think it will be a little too fresh. plus the Monaco game," the coach said.
Simon emerged Nantes player of the year last season following his outstanding performance for club and was also named top scorer.
