FUTSAL: Morocco crowned African champions after beating Egypt


Morocco’s national futsal team have lifted their second Africa Cup of Nations title after beating Egypt 5-0 in the final.

Morocco opened the scoring just three minutes into the game following a powerful left footed effort from Soufiane El-Mesrar.

The Atlas Lions doubled the scoring after a great combination play between Achraf Saoud and Abdelatif Fathi who put it in the bottom corner.

Moments before the half-time whistle El-Mesrar came back gift the hosts a comfortable lead ahead of the second-half.

Morocco continued their domination throughout the remainder of the game and scored two more goals to seal the win.

Egypt and Morocco will no prepare for the Futsal World Cup set to take place in Lithuania, between September 12th and October 4th. They will be joined by Angola who beat Lybia 2-0 in the third-place playoff.
