Gabriel Okechukwu Debuts For Sapporo FC

Former Water FC of Abuja, SC Chabab and Wydad Casablanca of Morocco striker, Gabriel Okechukwu yesterday played his first match for his Japanese club side Consadole Sapporo, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Gabriel Okechukwu was introduced in the second half in a league cup game which ended goalless between his side, Consadole Sapporo and Kashima Antlers.
Okechukwu joined the Japanese outfit in January on a four year deal in a deal worth 2 million dollars.
The 25-year-old who started his footballing career with Water FC Abuja, once had a stint with Akwa United in 2017 before moving to Wydad Casablanca Morocco a year later will hope to build on his debut in the Asian country.
Okechukwu scored 2 goals in four appearances for Nigerian CHAN team, a feat which earned him a call up to the Super Eagles for friendlies against Poland and Serbia in 2018.
