  Gateway Utd 1-0 Crown FC: Ajilete Warriors Condemned To Last-minute Goal By Boluwaji Ogunmola Crown FC of Ogbomosho suffered their first defeat of the season following a last gasp free-kick goal by Gateway United’s Seyi Okeowo. Seyi Okeowo's 94th minute strike earned Gateway the 1-nil win over Crown FC at MKO Abiola Int'l Stadium, Abeokuta, after the match official added six additional minute to the highly contested match between the two south west rivals. The Ajilete Warriors had the ball in the net in the first half, but the line man had already raised his flag for an initial offside. The win was Gateway’s first home game as well as their first win of the new NNL season. The Abeokuta based side will face J. Atete next in Delta State on Wednesday 24th Feb. Gateway lost their season opener against Joy Cometh FC of Lagos 3-0 last weekend, in a match played at the Agege Township Stadium, Lagos. The Ogbomosho based club was awarded 3 points 3 goals last weekend following the refusal of Holly Arrows FC to show up for the season opener. After the match in Abeokuta, Chief Coach of CrownFC Oladunni Oyekale told OyoSportsNews that he won’t blame the last-gasp goal on loss of concentration. " I won't blame the late goal on loss of concentration. The ball was a foul, the goalkeeper was pushed but the referee decision is final." "As I said, I'm happy with my team and the boys did well. Going forward, we'll correct our mistakes and take a game one by one." " I told my boys that the first 20th minutes would determine the game and you can see in the first half. I've known Gateway for a long time." "All of us are in the business, this is our first match this season, my boys even surprised me, I couldn't believe they play to this level. If we put in the right things, going forward there won't be problem" He concluded. Crown FC’s next match is against Bendel Insurance on Wednesday, February 24 at the LAUTECH football pitch.
