Glasgow Rangers coach Steven Gerrard has congratulated Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo for his amazing performance on his debut at the International stage, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

BSN Sports reports that Aribo put up a scintillating performance on Tuesday at Dnipro Arena when Super Eagles held host Ukraine to a 2-2 draw and was also on target in the encounter.

As club football set to resume this weekend Gerrard praised the youngster ahead of Rangers league clash with Livingstone.

"I have just spoken to Joe (Aribo) he is delighted, congratulations to him on his debut and goal and it shows he is at the right place playing football to be rewarded on the international stage," he said.

Since joining Rangers over the summer, Aribo has quickly impressed fans as his performances and has also netted 4 goals from his midfield position.
