Ghana FA Offers To Pay For Clubs Transportation In The New Season

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reportedly earmarked over two million cedis to take care of the transportation of clubs when the 2020-21 season gets underway.

The move by the GFA is to support the clubs amidst the coronavirus pandemic, which has plunged them into financial crisis.

According to myjoyonline.com, the GFA has prepared a budget of over GHS 71 million (about $12 million), for the next financial year, to be presented to Congress next month.

Of the amount, local media reports that 2,432,000 Ghana cedis have been allocated for clubs transportation.

The association’s Executive Council are selecting venues suitable for the competitions with the aim of not flouting Covid-19 protocols.

GFA remain confident government will give them the go-ahead to start the season in October.
