Ghana Police, Nigeria Customs Are Champions of Zone 3 African Volleyball Tourney

Police Volleyball Club Are the Champions of Zone 3 African Club Championship    By Kehinde Lamidi          Police Volleyball club of Ghana has emerged champion of the men's category of the just concluded zone 3  Africa Volleyball clubs championship held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium,Lagos. Ghana police defeated Nigeria customs by 3-0 at 25-22,25-22 and 30-28 at the final of the tournament to emerge champions. In the women's category,Nigeria Customs defeated Ghana Police by 3-0 at 25-18, 25-17 & 25-13 to emerge champions. The highlight of the tournament included the presentation of trophies and certificates to the winners and the countries that participated in a week long international tournament. Esther Dusu of Nigeria Custom was awarded most valuable Female player while Ghana police service, Richard Amanor won the most valuable Male Player. Evaluating the tournament, the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation,Engineer Musa Nimrod congratulated the winners and rated the performances of the clubs,officiating and other areas very high expressing optimism on the corporate sponsorship of the tournament in the next edition.
