Ghana vs South Africa: New Evidence Of Match-Fixing Surfaces Omolagba Oluwayemi South Africa Football Association (SAFA) is said to have found new material that points to a match-fixing between referee Ndiaye maquette and Ghana Football Association (GFA) during their World Cup qualifiers game, BSNSports.com.ng reports. As reported by Ghana web news outlet, it is rumoured that unnamed GFA capo visited the Senegalese referee camp prior to the game played two weeks ago. Recalled that SAFA accused GFA of fixing the crucial World Cup Qualifier game between the two national teams in favor of the Black Stars of Ghana, a game which ended 1-0 in Cape Coast in favor of the host. The Ghanaian were awarded a controversial penalty by referee Ndiaye after he had adjudged Rushine De Ruck to have pulled Daniel Amartey during a corner kick preventing the later from a rebound. The resulting penalty was cooly converted by Andre Ayew. Following their dissatisfaction with the outcome of the game, SAFA wrote a petition to FIFA on suspected manipulation of the match. The South Africa Football Association (SAFA) are capitalising on the information doing the rounds in West Africa that a top official of the Ghanaian Football Association (GFA) visited the camp of the Senegalese referee prior to the game played two weeks ago. The new evidence have been apprehended by SAFA officials in TFT appeal to FIFA. SAFA wants the match to be replayed, GFA on their own have sent their response to FIFA with both teams now awaiting the final response from the World Footballing governing body, FIFA.
