Goal Poacher Umar Sadiq Scores Again As Almeria Edge Malaga
By Omolagba Oluwayemi
Unstoppable former Nigeria U23 star, Umar Sadiq was on song on Saturday as 10-man Almeria edge Malaga 2-0 to make it their third victory in four games,
BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The strong and agile forward has been directly involved in at least one of Almeria's goals in every game they've played this season except last weekend's match against SD Amorebieta.
With the scores goalless at half time and Almeria reduced to ten-man immediately after the break, it looked like it'll be a long evening for them but Sadiq rose highest inside the penalty area, put the ball out of the reach of goalkeeper Dani Barrio to give Almeria the lead in the 51st minute.
Although there were claims that Sadiq climbed over Malaga's Central defender Juan Rivas who went down in the penalty area before directing his header into the net, but the goal stood despite the Malaga players appealing to the referee.

Juan Brandariz, with a close range header, doubled Almeria's advantage in the 58th minute.
The goal was Sadiq's second of the campaign and the lanky forward who eventually made way for Anglo-Dutch-Ghanaian striker Arvin Appiah in the 90th minute is on-course for another interesting season with Almeria in the Spanish Second division.
