Golden Eaglets Goalkeeper Join Barnsley By Sampson Adedeji English championship side Barnsley has announced the signing of former Nigeria Golden Eaglets goalkeeper Daniel Jinadu on a year deal, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Jinadu who represented England Junior Three Lions at U15 and U16 level left West Ham United after the expiration of his contract. After having a successful trials, the Nigeria junior international will join U23s side of the club for the 21/22 Professional Development League campaign, while also providing competition for the first team. At just 18-years-old, Jinadu has represented England at U15 and U16 level before opting to play for Nigeria the country of his birth. He started three games for the golden Eaglets at the 2019 U17 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, reaching the round of 16. The player while speaking to the press expressed his happiness over the move and willing to prove his mettle with the team. "I’m absolutely delighted to have signed,” declared Jinadu. "Just to be at such a great club and have the opportunity to continue my career and take the next stage of my career." “Being behind great goalkeepers like Brad Collins and Jack Walton and being able to learn from them is just amazing so I’m really happy to be here," he said.
