Golden Eaglets Open Camp Next Month

By Niyi Busari The Nigeria national U-17 team will begin training camp in Abuja under the supervision of coach Manu Garba who was in Abuja to watch the Zenith NFF U-15 Future Eagles trials, BSN Sports reports. Nigerians are worried over the delay in opening the U-17 camp to avoid late camping that affected the last Eaglets who failed to qualify and defend the trophy they won in 2013. "The camp will open in the first week of next month, everything is now in place for this camp." An impeccable source revealed. The chief coach of the U-17 national team, Coach Manu Garba is expected to call many players he has scouted in the last few months. Also, some outstanding players he watched at the recent camp and trials for U-15 Zenith NFF future Eagles would be called to camp. The experienced coach will face a tough qualifying campaign from West Africa B Zone, which consist of Ghana, Cote d'ivoire, Benin, Togo and Niger. The Eaglets failed to qualify for the 2017 U-17 AFCON in Rwanda after they were upset by Niger Republic.
