  Golden Eaglets Target Is Beyond Winning Trophy - Head Coach By Niyi Busari Nigeria U17 head coach, Fatai Amao has stated that their focus is not only on winning the U17 WAFU Zone B and the U17 AFCON titles, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The former Shooting Stars coach says he knows that the expectations of Nigerians is high beyond winning the titles adding that the secondary assignment aside winning titles with the Golden Eaglets is to discover players who will graduate to the Super Eagles. "We know the expectations of Nigeria. If we win the cup it’s not something new,” said Amoo. “Then, we have the responsibility to produce young talented players who in the nearest future will step into the shoes of those in the Super Eagles now. “We want players who will graduate to the senior team and play like Mikel Obi and the rest. We have U17 players who will be like Mikel who took their game to the highest level,” he said. The upcoming WAFU B Cup which is scheduled to hold in Benin Republic will serve as qualifiers for the 2021 U17 AFCON in Morocco, where the last four teams will book their tickets for the 2021 U17 World Cup. Winning the titles will be paramount to the team as the Nigeria Football Federation has canceled payment of match bonus to players and backroom staff. They however, have 100% of the  money coming from winning of trophy in all international competitions.
