According to the reports emanating from Spain, Nigeria international Sadiq Umar is set to make a shock move to English premier league champions, Manchester city, BSNSports.com.ng can reports.
The former Dream Team striker joined the Spanish Second division side, UD Almeria last summer from Serbian side Partizan Belgrade after a successful outing with them both in the domestic league and Europe.
And now according to Spanish outlet AS, Man City have joined the likes of Spartak Moscow and Eintracht Frankfurt in the race for the Nigerian international.
The report states that Sadiq would be signed as a City Football Group signing, and will be sent out on loan to newly-promoted Troyes in France.
It is suggested that should Sadiq have a successful spell in the top flight of French football, he would be considered for a first team role at Man City.
First, City will have to tempt Almeria to sell, and the striker has a £51.6million release clause.
But it is believed that the Spanish club will entertain offers nearer to £25.8m.
