One of fan’s favourites and current ABU welterweight champion, Olaide ‘Fijaborn’ Fijabi was made to sweat before defeating Kazeem “Iberu” Ariyo in the national challenge bout by unanimous decision after eight rounds. In the first international title bout of the night, African Boxing Union (ABU) lightweight champion, Oto “Joe Boy” Joseph of Nigeria retained his title by beating Ghana's Nathaniel Nukpe by unanimous decision after 12 rounds. However, it was Ibadan based boxer Akeem “Dodo” Sadiku of Nigeria who stole the show in the second international title bout as he defeated Franc Houanvoegbe of Benin Republic by technical knock out in round two of their international light middleweight challenge.
