  Gov Yahaya Bello Joins NFF In Celebrating International Women's Month In Abuja By Niyi Busari The Nigeria Football Federation on Saturday marked the International Women's Month with a novelty match at the FIFA Goal Project, Package B, MKO Abiola Stadium. The 3-hour event themed: "I Choose To Challenge Gender Inequality in Football" came with a lot of funfair as trophy was presented to WAKO Academy Girls, Abuja the winners of the match. The Head of Women's Football, Nigeria Football Federation, Mrs. Amina Daura led many dignitaries from all walks of life to the venue where the celebration took place. An elated Head of Women Football says she will not leave any stone unturned in making sure that women football in the country to consolidate on the achievement it has gotten by going to the grassroots to unearth many untapped young talents. "I can't thank everybody enough, no matter the kind of support you gave for the success of this program, I am really grateful. We need to do more for women because we are the World." She stated that a lot of plans are on ground in discovering untapped young talented women footballers at the grassroots, the plans that will consolidate on the achievement of Nigeria women's football. "We have a lot of plans, what we really want to do is to go to the grassroots level to search for raw talents. Preparations for such programme require a lot, we would have done it before now but a lot things came up. This will help consolidate on the achievement of Nigeria women's football. Also present at the occasion, the Special Guest who presented trophy to the winners, WAKO Girls, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi stated that he was happy to be part of the programme adding that more women should be given the opportunity to lead in sports and politics. "Women should be given the opportunity to lead in all spheres of life. No doubt, we have brilliant women in this country who can do better."
