Rivers United on Sunday defeated Bayelsa United 5-4 on penalties in the final of the 2020 edition of Governor Wike Preseason tournament at the Shark Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The game went straight into penalty shootout after it ended 1-1 in regulation time.
Christian Mizo opened the scoring for Bayelsa United in the 51st minute before Chika equalized for Rivers United in the 73rd minute.
Bayelsa United were able to keep the score line at 1-1 till the end despite all the pressure Rivers United.
Rivers United's goal keeper Theophilus Afelokhai sends Bayelsa United goal keeper the wrong way for the last spot kick after Bayelsa United goal keeper had earlier missed his own.

Best Goalkeeper Of The Tournament: Theophilus Afelokhai (Rivers United)
Runner up Bayelsa United went home with the sum of three hundred thousand naira while Champions Rivers United were rewarded with the sum of five hundred thousand naira.
