The 2017/18 Nigeria National League (NNL) champions, Kada City of Kaduna have withdrawn from the league after its 2-1 home win over Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Football Club on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Ekene Adams, CEO, Kada City had on Friday told BSN Sports that his team will pull out of the league after their Sunday's match against NAF FC. The football administrator cited financial constraints and also alleged that the league winner has been decided by the management.

'The Pride of Kaduna' bowed out of the league after their match-day 5 win at the Ahmadu Bello stadium. NAF FC had shocked the home crowd after scoring first before Kabiru Sanusi equalised from the spot. The visitors put the ball behind their own net following so much pressure by the hosts. The third win for the Kaduna based team in five matches was enough for Kada City to bow out of the league as table topper.

In the same group A1, Green Beret FC are second on the log with 8 points while NAF FC, ABS FC, Kebbi United, Malumfashi FC and Road Safety FC are all on 7 points each.

FC Zamfara and DMD FC have 6 points while Aklosendi FC and Kogi United who occupied 10 and 11th position garnered 5 points each as Oyah Sports of Suleja are at the bottom of the table with 4 points from 5 games.

In an exclusive interview with www.bsnsports.com.ng, Ekene Adams had lamented that Seventeen million naira being the balance of the sale of the Nigeria Professional Football League slot to Delta government has not been paid while the slot has been resold to Kwara United.
